With 4.5-week grades posting on September 2, reflect on your experience in AP Language so far. What has been going well for you, what has been challenging, and what is one thing you need to improve moving forward?

 So far in AP lang, I have been learning new methods and exercises that help me break down a prompt to help me fully understand what I am being asked and how I should go about answering it. I have also learned about different types of claims and how to use evidence through experience, readings, and observations. I think I have been fairly good and keeping up with the different kinds of claims and applying them to situations Im learning about. I think I may need to improve my writing time because it is the most challenging thing for me. I can come up with a good claim and evidence when I have all the time I need to brainstorm, however, under a time crunch, I tend to freak out instead of focusing on the prompt. I would like to figure out how to write everything I need to write in a timely manner and keep up the stamina to write essays in that time.

Summary: Today we wrote our paragraph in writable. We read ambush and answered the prompt in that class period.

Reflection: Practicing writing things like this helps me to write and come up with things in a timely manner. I got to practice with identifying what claim I wanted to make and the evidence to back it up. Doing this activity made me feel rushed but at the same time, prepared for what I know is to come. Friday was a little challenging, however, with practice, I know I will get used to it and I will be able to write better.
