What are three goals that you want to achieve this academic year?

 This school year I hope to accomplish multiple things, both inside and outside of school. This school year in AP lang,  I would like become better with my writing skills, along with expanding my vocabulary, and learn how to construct and deliver a speech. Expanding my vocabulary will help me develop better writing skills and help with my speeches. Having better knowledge about delivering speeches will not only help me in this class but eventually in the future as well. These skills that I desire to learn will help me in the long run for future success.

Currently, I use phrases that I am commonly exposed to, like "bruh", I also use phrases that are common among gen z. These phrases are in a lot of peoples vocabulary as well. These words don't have any meaning yet, a large population of people understanding its meaning and how to use it. Words like "bruh", aren't professional, however, it captures that feeling or expression that is trying to be expressed. It has become part of my vocabulary simply because I have been exposed to it so much through the internet. I typically use this phrase when something isn't working out, when I am annoyed with something, or when someone says something dumb. Write about something you’ve always been curious about.

I have always been interested and curious about people in general. I have been curious about how everyones minds work and what they are thinking. I have always been fascinated in people and their professions. For example, I would never be interested in being an eye doctor, however so many people are and they actually make a living out of it. I have been curious about what prompted them to want to be an eye doctor? Is it about the money? Are they actually that interested in eyes? Do they just want to help people? I have been curious about people and why they choose to set out their life the way that they do. Overall, I think I just am a very curious person when it comes to people and why they choose to do certain things in their life. With 4.5-week grades posting on September 2, reflect on your experience in AP Language so far. What has been going well for you, what has been challenging, and what is one thing you need to improve moving forward?

 So far in AP lang, I have been learning new methods and exercises that help me break down a prompt to help me fully understand what I am being asked and how I should go about answering it. I have also learned about different types of claims and how to use evidence through experience, readings, and observations. I think I have been fairly good and keeping up with the different kinds of claims and applying them to situations Im learning about. I think I may need to improve my writing time because it is the most challenging thing for me. I can come up with a good claim and evidence when I have all the time I need to brainstorm, however, under a time crunch, I tend to freak out instead of focusing on the prompt. I would like to figure out how to write everything I need to write in a timely manner and keep up the stamina to write essays in that time. Summary: Today we wrote our paragraph in writable.
